Sweden’s New Type Agency

Letters from Sweden is an agency whose sole focus is type design. The company’s goal is to develop top quality typefaces for top tier clients.

Behind the agency stands Göran Söderström. He has designed typefaces for Acne Studios, Tictail, C&A, Zeta, ICA, Posten Frimärken, Expressen, ATG, SEB and collaborated with agencies and designers like Stockholm Design Lab, Stefania Malmsten, Pompe Hedengren, Hummingbirds, Designkontoret Silver, The Kitchen and Bold Stockholm.

“There’s a growing need for professional type services and we are here to meet those needs — with the highest quality, flexibility and authenticity,” Göran explains.

Besides designing custom fonts, Letters from Sweden distributes retail fonts through both our own site and international distributors. These fonts are used by the likes of Red Bull, Apple, SVT, The New Republic, Pitchfork Music Festival, Helsingborgs Dagblad and Rodeo Magazine.

The company’s services include type design, font development, lettering, hinting, webfont optimizations and education.

“We are starting this business with a typeface project for one of Sweden’s most interesting companies,” Göran says. “We are also looking forward meeting clients in 2014, both new and old.”
